In working with many clients on a daily basis, I’m constantly get asked what remedies are good for keeping your skin looking youthful and glowing. Many things affect how your skin looks including: diet, lifestyle, stress and environmental factors. I am a firm believer in eating healthy foods that help me feel good and keep my skin healthy and glowing.

How do you know which foods have Vitamin C? What does Vitamin C do for your skin?

Some foods where you can find Vitamin C are in bell peppers, papaya, strawberries, oranges, pinapple, kiwifruit, brocolli, brussel sprouts, spinach, collard greens and tomatoes… and many more.

The benefits of Vitamin C on your skin is it’s an antioxidant that reduces free radicals.   Too many free radicals in the body can cause harm on our cells and tissue causing damaging.  Vitamin C helps reduce damage at a cellular level. It helps produce collagen that keeps our skin tight and healthy. Another benefit is it helps reduce wrinkles and signs of aging. What’s cool too, is it helps sunscreen be more effective and it also reduces age spots when applied topically by a serum or lotion with Vitamin C.

I love learning about how we can take better care of our skin, just by doing simple changes that you have right in your home without having to buy expensive skin care products.
