Every year, The Powder Group hosts here in Chicago and all over the US and in Europe, The Makeup Show. This is a fun event where Make-up Artists come together learn and grow, creatively and professionally, through seminars and classes. There are so many make-up vendors to see at the show!
I go in thinking “Oh, I don’t need that much stuff,” and then I fall in love with all the new stuff! It’s so hard to be so disciplined! So much going on and so much to look at! The crowds are crazy and so many interesting creative people.
It was fun to step in on a class taught by the amazingly talented, Global Pro Lead Artist for Smashbox, Lori Taylor. Lori has worked on some of the top celebrities, fashion shows and tv. I loved watching her and the products she was using and her techniques. Her class was the latest tips and techniques, which I am always open to learning!
It’s always nice to run into industry people and talk shop and exchange ideas and learn more about different products! I took some pics from the day and had to stay focused on what I needed. Below you will see some of my products that were in need of re-stocking. Excited to play with some new products!
