BRRRR….It’s so cold out! We all know the drill for the next few months: some of us stay inside, cozy up under blankets, and only leave we have to, while others venture outside and enjoy this lovely season we call winter!
This time of year can be so harsh on our skin. A skin-care regiment is important and it is essential you are using the right products for all of the different seasons here in Chicago!
With the growing trend of consumer products that are on the market today, we have so many to choose from. It can be challenging and time-consuming to do all the research: what ingredients are used, which long-term effects we’ll be prone to, and overall, what IS best for our type of skin. No one has the time to spend hours on researching what’s in the products they are putting on their skin. With the skin being our body’s largest organ, we need to be aware of what we are using.
I was recently introduced to an amazing new line called Beautycounter through a makeup artist friend of mine. I have been dabbling with the line for about 2 months and absolutely love it! They have all types of products ranging from skin care, cosmetics and even a kids line of shampoos and body washes.
I love their products and what they are doing in making a change—making our world healthy and safe by getting these products out. Beautycounter is setting a new standard in safety and showing lucidity in what ingredients they are using in their products.They also donate to charity! The most important part is they have BEAUTIFUL products that are high-performance while also rigorous testing is done before being put in the hands of its consumers.
Beautycounter manufactures their products in Italy, which has a higher safety and performance standard than the US. Their main objective is to share and empower others to make safer and healthier choices with their personal skin products while not sacrificing quality. The European Union has spent the last 2 decades banning and restricting more than 1,300 ingredients; the US has only banned 11 to date.
I wanted to offer these products in my kit and share with you all information on toxins in our makeup and skin care. Why would I not want to be a part of a company who has our health and safety as top priority and in turn, share with my family, friends and clients?!
